Villa Residential Zavattarello

€ 550.000,00

Zavattarello is a medieval village in the Oltrepò Pavese, recognized in 2017 as one of the 20 most beautiful villages in Italy. It is located in the Alta Val Tidone, dominated by the Dal Verme Castle, a town surrounded by unspoiled nature, where tradition and modernity mix.
The villa, built at the end of the 19th century, first housed a convent inside and later became a Carabinieri barracks. It was transformed into a residence in 1980, retaining its morphological characteristics, such as the beautiful stone walls and was finally renovated in 2014 and has never been used since.
The 500 sq m property extends over three floors and is surrounded by a luxuriant 250 sq m garden.
On the ground floor (180 sqm), to the left of the entrance, there is a tavern, a kitchen with wood oven, a study, a bathroom, a cellar and a thermal power plant: this is the oldest area of the villa with ceilings and doors in original wood and terracotta floors; to the right of the entrance we find a triple box and a woodshed.
Going up to the first floor, the 300 sqm apartment is divided into living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, closet and a magnificent terrace with a porch bordered by three stone arches. Finally, the attic (150 sqm) consists of a large living room, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom in bisazza mosaic with a large bathtub. From the balcony you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding valley.
The heating of the villa is autonomous with radiators.
