A villa in the countryside, the summer, the feeling of fresh grass under the feet and the sound of a river in the distance make the atmosphere for Call Me by Your Name, the acclaimed movie directed by the Italian Luca Guadagnino, nominated for 4 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

The wonderful setting is, indeed, an element that strikes the viewers’ hearts in this movie: who doesn’t remember with emotion the summer of the first kiss, biking around or swimming at the lake?

Guadagnino’s ability is to make the characters and their stories engage with the places, creating an unforgettable world where you can almost feel your hair swept by the summer wind.

In order to make the sense of disruption of the characters real, the director decided to shoot in the countryside of Crema, very familiar to him, instead of where the story was set in the book, Liguria.

As the two main characters, this charming 17th-century house plays a huge role in the story; set designer Violante Visconti (grand-daughter of director Luchino Visconti) serves to highlight the remarkable character of this house and chooses with accuracy the most realistic and credible decors for the setting of this brilliant love story.

The mansion is surrounded by a huge 2-hectares park with ancient trees and minor buildings, located nearby a little town in the Cremona province, with a population of less than 1,000 people.

A great opportunity for film lovers but also for those investors interested in finding a very unique house.
